At Axiom Structures, we understand just how important it is to have a structurally sound home. This is to ensure you will remain safe and that the roof over your head won’t suddenly collapse.
Some damaged areas can include your floors, floor joists, attics, ceiling joists, roof supports, wall studs, and sometimes even drywall. If there is structural damage in these areas, it can be costly to replace, being an integral piece of your property. Our structural damage inspections are here to help.
The difficult part about diagnosing your home is that most damages occur at internal areas. As such, you won’t be able to access them without a deep inspection or removing drywall to get an internal view of the scene. However, there are some ways to tell that you have structural damage —many symptoms may be obvious, especially if your home is on the newer side. Damage symptoms in ceilings and walls often go unknown. Problems such as sagging floors and ceilings as well as areas that look slightly water damaged can be an indication of a problem.
Depending on the extent of the damage, it is not at all unlikely that some sort of structural failure could take place. If it gets bad enough and is left untreated for a long enough period of time, it is entirely possible that a section of flooring, ceiling, or even the roof could collapse. Additionally, if you find any amount of damage to your finishes, you can even expect to find further damage underneath.
